I recently closed a short position on XAUUSD that I initiated near 5250, targeting the 5150 level. While the initial move was promising, price action became choppy as it approached the 5200 mark. I observed a weakening bearish momentum on the hourly charts, coupled with a slight increase in buying volume. Consequently, I opted to secure profits at 5160, netting approximately 90 pips. Although the price has subsequently declined further, I am content with the decision to prioritize risk management. The market sentiment remains fragile, and premature greed can often erode gains.
