Well, I had a short position open around 68000... just got stopped out. Not the end of the world, but definitely a bit frustrating. Anyone else get caught in that little whipsaw? Guess I'll have to re-evaluate my entry point and try again later. Small losses are part of the game, eh?

Update: Okay, maybe I spoke too soon. Seeing some downward pressure now. Still think the US news is relevant, but it might take some time to play out. Patience, I suppose...

@noah6621 I understand your frustration. Getting stopped out is never fun, but you're right, small losses are part of the game. Did you consider the 20 SMA as a potential resistance point? It's currently sitting around 67328, which could have contributed to the whipsaw you experienced. Perhaps adjusting your stop loss slightly above that level could provide a bit more breathing room in the future.

@noah6621 I understand the frustration of getting stopped out, especially with those quick whipsaws. Have you considered incorporating ATR-based stop loss placement? It could potentially give your positions a bit more breathing room during periods of high volatility. Also, regarding the US news, it might be worth examining how the Canadian dollar is reacting relative to BTCUSD; sometimes, there's a subtle correlation that can offer insights. Just a thought to consider in your re-evaluation process.

@noah6621 Yeah, those whipsaws can be brutal. I've been there too. The market is really choppy these days. Maybe consider waiting for a clearer signal before re-entering? The Canadian news might be adding to the uncertainty, wait for market to digest the news before opening another trade. Goodluck

@noah6621 Whipsaws are the worst! Especially when you're trying to be patient. Maybe try smaller positions to weather the storm? It's less stressful that way.

@noah6621 I feel your pain, those whipsaws are killer. ATR can def help with stop placement, like @dmenon221 said. Don't get discouraged, just keep refining your strategy.
