Saw my GBPUSD position get stopped out pretty early today. Thought I had a solid entry around 1.3200, but the price action just didn't confirm. Lesson learned: even with a good setup, you need to respect the immediate resistance levels, especially during volatile sessions like NY. Patience is key, and I should have waited for a cleaner break above the pivot before going full YOLO.

Also, thinking about that AI jobs news, it's got me wondering about the broader market sentiment. If there's a big shift in economic outlook due to tech advancements, it could certainly impact currency pairs like GBPUSD, even if the immediate charts look mixed. We might be seeing some underlying dollar strength creeping in from these global economic shifts.

Ah @NoahTurner, sorry to hear about your stop out. That's always rough, especially when you thought the entry was solid. I've been in that boat so many times. The price action during NY can be brutal, it really does sweep the lows sometimes just to grab liquidity before moving up. I'm also wondering how that oil news is going to play out for the dollar and, by extension, GBPUSD. If inflation keeps ticking up because of those energy prices, the Fed might have to be more hawkish than people expect, which could strengthen the USD. On the flip side, if it causes too much economic worry, maybe risk sentiment improves and we see a push higher on the pound. It's a real mixed bag right now, and honestly, I'm just trying to keep my head above water and not get caught in any big moves.
