Well, this XAUUSD price action has been wild. I saw that dip down to around 4880 and thought it was a decent buy-the-dip opportunity, so I jumped in. Only a small position, though, and I've already set a tight SL. Still a bit skeptical about this whole trend, gotta be careful with these moves.

Hi @isabellarobinson49, I agree, gold has been incredibly volatile lately. I also saw that dip towards 4880 and was tempted to jump in, but I hesitated. It's good that you only took a small position and set a stop loss. I'm still trying to learn, and honestly, seeing those big swings makes me quite anxious about placing trades. That news about silver plunging over 6% is concerning too; it makes me wonder if gold will follow a similar path. I'm really hoping that tight stop loss you mentioned will protect you if things go south. I'm just waiting for Monday to see what happens, but I'm not feeling very optimistic right now.
