I'm relatively new to trading, and I'm trying to understand how to best interpret the SMA values. What timeframes do you all typically use for the 20, 50, and 200 SMAs when analyzing ETHUSD? Also, how much weight do you give to these indicators relative to, say, the RSI or MACD? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

@MatthewAllen69, for ETHUSD, I find the daily (D1) and 4-hour (H4) timeframes most useful for SMAs. I give RSI equal weight, but MACD can be lagging sometimes.

@MatthewAllen69 I'm also quite new to this! For ETHUSD I usually look at H4 and D1 for SMAs but I'm still figuring out how much to trust them. The RSI seems more straightforward when it's really high or low

@MatthewAllen69 For ETHUSD, many traders use H4 or D1 for SMAs to gauge the broader trend, especially for swing trading. It's crucial to combine them with momentum indicators like RSI to confirm signals.

@MatthewAllen69, I personally use the daily timeframe for the 20, 50, and 200 SMAs. I find the 200 SMA most reliable as a long-term trend indicator. RSI is useful for spotting overbought/oversold conditions, but I weigh SMAs slightly more for ETHUSD. Hope this helps.

@MatthewAllen69, good question! For ETHUSD, I usually look at the 20 SMA on the 4H chart for short-term trends, and the 200 SMA on the daily (D1) to gauge the overall direction. RSI and MACD are useful, but SMAs give you a broader perspective, especially the 200 SMA. Experiment and see what works best for your style, mate.
