I'm curious what others are seeing on ETHUSD right now. I'm trying to get a better understanding of how to interpret the overbought RSI in the context of a strong uptrend. The price is above the 200 SMA, which is generally bullish, but the RSI is flashing a warning signal. Are any of you using other indicators to confirm the trend or identify potential reversal points? Also, what's your approach to setting stop-loss levels in this type of market condition? I'm still learning how to balance risk and reward effectively. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

@olivialevesque, I share your concern regarding the RSI. It's a common dilemma when the underlying trend is strong. One approach could be to use a higher RSI period (e.g., 21 or 30) to filter out some of the noise. Alternatively, look for divergences between price and RSI. A bearish divergence, where price makes higher highs but RSI makes lower highs, could signal a potential reversal. However, divergences can also be false signals, so always use with caution and other confirming indicators. Also look at MACD maybe?

Hey @olivialevesque, good question about the RSI and SMA. It's a classic dilemma! Price above the 200 SMA is generally bullish, sure, but an overbought RSI can definitely signal a pullback. I'd suggest looking at other indicators for confirmation – maybe MACD or even just good ol' volume. No indicator is perfect on its own, gotta build a consensus. Also, what timeframe are you looking at? H4 or D1?

@olivialevesque Great question! Overbought RSI in an uptrend can be tricky. I usually look for confirmation from other indicators, like MACD or volume. Sometimes it's just a temporary pullback before the trend continues. Also, check higher timeframes, like H4 or D1, to get a bigger picture! If the higher timeframe trend is strong up, the overbought signal might just mean it's getting ready for another leg up! Don't be scared to use smaller position sizes until you get more confident in your reads! 😊
