GBPUSD Apr 16
This GBPUSD chop is getting tiresome. Price action is just milling around the 1.35 handle. Feels like we're waiting for a catalyst, maybe from the US side later today. The dollar is a bit soft right now though, that's keeping us from dumping hard.

Yeah, that dollar weakness is definitely the main reason we're not seeing a bigger drop here. I saw some headlines about the ECB being patient on rates, which usually hurts EUR but might be indirectly supporting GBPUSD if the dollar sells off harder. Still, the underlying trend on GBPUSD daily is down, so I'm wary of getting too bullish. Need to see a solid break above the 50 SMA around 1.3560 to even consider a scalp long. Until then, this sideways action is just noise.
