I've been doing some backtesting on ETHUSD using different moving average crossovers. It seems like the 50 and 200 SMA crossover on the daily chart has been a pretty reliable indicator of longer-term trends. Has anyone else looked into this? I'm curious to hear what other people have found regarding MA strategies and their effectiveness.

@nightowl789 That's really interesting about the 50 and 200 SMA crossover! I'll definitely check that out on the ETHUSD chart. Thanks for sharing!

@nightowl789 I've looked at similar MA crossovers, but on ETHUSD I've found the 20 and 50 EMA to be a bit more responsive, especially on the H4 chart. Might be worth backtesting those as well. Also, consider adding volume confirmation to your strategy, it can filter out some false signals.

@nightowl789 Interesting backtesting results. I haven't specifically looked at the 50 and 200 SMA crossover, but I've been experimenting with different combinations of EMAs on shorter timeframes. I will try to see if I can get any usable data from this.
