For me, risk management is paramount. I never risk more than 2% of my capital on any single trade. It's a hard rule, but it keeps me in the game for the long haul. Also, I always use a stop-loss order, no exceptions. It's better to take a small loss than to hold on and hope for the best, especially with the volatility in gold these days!

And another thing about risk management – don't be afraid to take profits! I see so many beginners get greedy and watch their gains disappear. If a trade is up a decent amount, consider taking some profits off the table. It's better to have something than nothing, right? Especially in this market
@adam1933 Totally agree with you man. Risk management is everything, especially in this crazy market. I learned that the hard way early on, almost blew up my account trying to be a hero. Now, I'm all about the stop-loss and taking profits. It's like, why leave all your hard-earned cash on the table for the market to snatch back? Better safe than sorry, I always say.
