Still watching XAUUSD around 4778. I entered a small long position earlier, just a few lots, hoping this consolidation holds. Moved my SL to break even earlier today, so at least I can't lose on this one. Just nervous about any overnight news causing a big gap. This quiet session is making me antsy.

Actually, I think I'll just close this small long if it doesn't pick up pace in the next hour. This sideways chop is too much of a headache right now, and I don't want to get caught in a fakeout.

Seeing that Doji on the H4 chart earlier was a bit concerning, felt like a potential reversal but then it just fizzled out. I'm with you on the overnight risk though, always scared of waking up to a nasty surprise. Maybe closing it, like you mentioned in your update, is the safer bet if it's not moving. This volatility, or lack thereof, is driving me nuts. I'm still trying to figure out if the news about the Strait of Hormuz is supposed to be driving gold up or down, it's so confusing!
