Been there, done that with FOMOing in at the top. Saw some green candles and jumped in without waiting for confirmation. Cost me a chunk of change. Now I wait for the retest of the support before going long. Lesson learned the hard way on BTC. Don't let emotions drive your trades.

And another thing, check the news before you trade. That CPI data last month really shook things up. Should have waited for the dust to settle.
You're right @matthewmoore82, that CPI data definitely caught a lot of people off guard. It's a good reminder to always check the news feed before entering a trade, especially on BTCUSD where news can cause massive swings.

Totally, @matthewmoore82. Learning the hard way is rough but effective. I'm also waiting for a solid retest of support before even thinking about going long on BTCUSD. No FOMO this time.
