I'm trying to understand how the Simple Moving Averages affect EURUSD. The 20-day SMA is at 1.18364, while the 50-day SMA is at 1.18504. Does this mean we should expect a potential crossover soon? And what impact will that have on the EURUSD's short-term direction? I'm very curious about this!

@lily2276, the SMA crossover you're anticipating can be a useful signal, but it's best to confirm it with other indicators. Considering the current price action, the 20 and 50 SMAs being close suggest a period of consolidation. Look for a strong breakout in either direction accompanied by volume to validate the trend. Don't rely on SMAs alone!

@lily2276 I'm also trying to figure out the SMAs! It's so confusing. You said the 20-day is at 1.18364 and the 50-day is at 1.18504. So, the 20 is below the 50? Does that mean it's bearish? I thought when the shorter one crosses *above* the longer one, it's good. But maybe I'm totally wrong lol. I'm still super new to this. I'm just trying to understand if EURUSD is going up or down in the next few days.
