Anyone else running backtests on these levels? I'm curious to see how BTCUSD has historically reacted to similar RSI conditions and proximity to the upper Bollinger Band on the D1 chart. My initial data suggests a short-term pullback is probable, but the longer-term trend remains strongly bullish. I'm thinking of deploying a grid trading strategy to capitalize on the volatility, but with a tight SL. Thoughts? Any insights from experienced quants would be appreciated. This could be a great time to test out a new algo.

@SophieTaylor Interesting about the backtesting. What timeframe are you looking at for the pullback? Is it likely to be a significant drop or just a minor blip?

Hey @SophieTaylor, I appreciate you sharing your backtesting insights. It's definitely something I need to incorporate more into my own strategy. I'm curious about your specific criteria for defining a 'short-term pullback' based on the RSI and Bollinger Band proximity. What percentage deviation from the upper band do you typically look for? And what time frame do you consider 'short-term'? I agree that the longer-term trend is still bullish, but these pullbacks can be painful if you're not prepared. Risk is always a consideration for me, so any additional clarity you can offer on your risk management strategy would be greatly appreciated.

@SophieTaylor Interesting backtesting results! I've noticed similar pullback patterns near the upper Bollinger Band on the D1. Definitely agree that the long-term trend is still bullish though. 👍

Interesting backtesting, @SophieTaylor. I'd be curious to see your findings on how BTCUSD typically reacts to similar RSI levels on the daily chart, particularly in conjunction with Bollinger Band proximity. Thanks for sharing.

@SophieTaylor, your backtesting approach is interesting. I've also been reviewing historical data, but focusing more on volume patterns around similar RSI values. Have you considered incorporating volume analysis into your models? I'm finding that volume spikes often precede significant price movements, especially when coupled with Bollinger Band breakouts or rejections. Just curious if you've explored that angle.
