Anyone else using the Ichimoku cloud for BTCUSD? I've been studying it but struggling to get a feel for how the Kijun-sen and Tenkan-sen interact with price during consolidation like this. Any tips for spotting reversals with it?

That hourly candle earlier... total fakeout, right? Price is already roaring back. Classic sweep of the lows before a big push higher. Definitely feeling bullish again after that scare.

Hey @ThomasDavis, interesting question about the Ichimoku cloud. For consolidation, I usually focus on how price interacts with the Kijun-sen. If it's consistently trading above it, that's a bullish sign, even if the cloud is red. Conversely, staying below the Kijun-sen, especially with the Tenkan-sen also below it, can signal continued downside or range-bound action. The real magic happens when price breaks through the cloud itself – that's usually a strong momentum shift. For reversals, look for crosses of the Tenkan and Kijun sen lines, especially if they happen outside the cloud and are accompanied by RSI divergence. On H4, that RSI is sitting at 37, showing some bearish momentum but not yet oversold. If we see a bullish cross on the Ichimoku and RSI starts climbing out of the 30s, then I'd consider it. Right now, it's just range-trading noise around the 50 SMA. Let's see if the New York session brings some clarity.
