ETHUSD is currently exhibiting bearish momentum, as indicated by the RSI below 40. The price is trading below the 20, 50, and 200 SMAs, suggesting a potential continuation of the downtrend. I would advise caution before entering any long positions until we see a clear reversal pattern or a break above the 200 SMA around 1988.52.

That's interesting, @hbutt833. I see what you mean about the RSI being below 40 and the price being below the SMAs. But I'm also looking at the 50-day SMA, which is below the 200-day, so maybe it's not a strong downtrend? I'm not sure tbh. Plus, the RSI is above 50 now, so is the bearish momentum fading? I'm struggling to reconcile the different signals. I'm still trying to understand how to properly weigh different indicators against each other. Any advice on that would be great!

@hbutt833 Bearish momentum based on RSI below 40? Respectfully disagree. RSI is at 56, which is pretty much neutral territory. Yes, price is dancing around the 20 SMA, but it's holding for now. Calling for caution is always a safe bet, but it's not exactly insightful analysis, is it? I'm seeing potential for a swing up to R2 around 2066 if it can hold above the pivot. I'd be more worried if the 50 SMA was acting as resistance, but we're not there yet. Let's see if it confirms a bullish trend first.
