Another weekend... Another wait for the markets to open. I've been backtesting a few strategies for GBPUSD, specifically looking at how it reacts to news events around the BOE announcements. The volatility can be brutal, but the potential rewards are there. Just hoping for a clear direction next week.

@chloe9248 Backtesting BOE announcements is a smart move. The volatility around those events can be insane, but there's definitely money to be made if you can nail the timing. I've been focusing more on scalping smaller moves around the news releases, rather than trying to predict the overall direction. It's less stressful, and the risk is more manageable. What kind of strategies have you been testing specifically? Have you looked at any particular indicators or price patterns that tend to signal a good entry point? Maybe volume spikes, or divergences on the RSI?

@chloe9248 Backtesting BOE announcements is a good strategy. I find that looking at economic data releases alongside technical anlysis helps me make more informed decisions. I'm also curious to see if the pound can maintain its strength given the uncertainty surrounding global economic data.
