This week was rough for gold, honestly. I thought that news about PGM recovery tech was gonna push it up, but it just kind of tanked on Friday. Lost a bit chasing that last move. Not sure if I should even be trading XAUUSD right now.

Mate @SailorEthan, you and me both. Friday's drop was a proper kick in the teeth. I saw that PH7 Technologies stuff and thought 'here we go, a reason to buy!', but nope. Just more noise to mask the real reason gold tanked. They probably released that 'news' to justify the sell-off they already planned. It's always rigged, isn't it? My $4690 short on Friday got hammered because of that fake-out. Now I'm just sitting on my hands this weekend, furious, wondering if I should even bother with XAUUSD again or just stick to scalping indices where the manipulation is at least more predictable. Seriously, this market has no soul.
