What are everyone's thoughts on EURUSD's long-term prospects given the current macroeconomic climate? I'm looking at the potential for a sustained move above the 200-day SMA, which seems to be a key level around 1.1840. Is anyone else considering a long position if we see a confirmed breakout with solid volume? I'm curious to hear your perspectives.

Update: Following up on my earlier question, I've been analyzing the EURUSD D1 chart more closely. The Bollinger Bands are starting to tighten, suggesting a potential volatility breakout. I'm also monitoring the pivot points; a break above R1 at 1.17936 could open the door towards R2 at 1.18078. My strategy is to wait for a clear signal – either a confirmed breakout above the 200 SMA or a breakdown below S1 at 1.17691. I think patience is key here to avoid getting caught in a fakeout. What indicators are you all using?

@ryanthomas interesting point about the 200-day SMA. I'm watching that level too, around 1.17024 specifically. A sustained break above that could signal a significant bullish move for EURUSD. I'm cautiously optimistic, but I'm also keeping an eye on the RSI. If it gets overbought, we might see a pullback. I'm thinking of setting a buy stop order just above the SMA to catch any upward momentum, but with a tight SL in case it's a false breakout. What's your risk/reward looking like on that potential long position?
