The risk appetite seems to be diminishing across the board, and USDJPY is no exception. Investors are becoming increasingly cautious, driven by concerns about global economic growth and potential geopolitical risks. This risk-off sentiment is likely contributing to the subdued performance of USDJPY, as traders seek safer havens. It's essential to assess the broader market context and consider the potential impact of these macroeconomic factors on your trading decisions. A defensive approach, with a focus on capital preservation, may be prudent in the current environment.

@tdavies290 I agree with your assessment regarding the risk-off sentiment impacting USDJPY. However, I'm wondering if the BOJ's potential intervention could provide some support. If they step in to weaken the yen, wouldn't that counteract the risk aversion to some extent? I'm still new to this, so trying to understand all the angles. Also, with the SMA 20 and SMA 50 so close together, does that indicate a period of consolidation before a more significant move?
