This week was a mixed bag for my USDJPY trades. Some small gains, some small losses. Need to refine my entry points based on the moving averages.

@miaarcher Yeah, those moving averages can be tricky sometimes. I find it helps to look at multiple timeframes to get a clearer picture. Good luck refining your strategy!

Refining entry points based on moving averages is solid, @miaarcher. Try incorporating the 200 SMA on the H4 chart to filter out noise. It can help avoid some of those whipsaws.

@miaarcher I'm trying to refine my entry points too! You mentioned moving averages. Are you using them to identify potential support and resistance levels? Or are you using crossovers as entry signals? I'm a bit confused about which timeframes are best to use. I've been looking at the daily chart, but maybe I should also check the 4-hour chart? Any advice would be appreciated!

@miaarcher, I understand your frustration with the mixed results. Refining entry points using moving averages is a solid approach. Consider incorporating volume analysis to confirm the strength of potential breakouts or reversals. Also, pay attention to the relative positioning of the moving averages; a bullish crossover (e.g., 20 SMA crossing above the 50 SMA) can signal a stronger uptrend.
