This news about the Middle East tensions is definitely impacting the dollar. I think the safe-haven demand is pushing the DXY higher, but I'm not convinced it will last. The CPI data that's coming up could easily reverse the trend. I'm hesitant to take a long position right now, even though the index is approaching 99.00. I'll wait for more clarity after the data release. My anlysis is that it will go down after a small pump because of the news.

Hey @bilalskier, I see what you mean about the CPI data. It's definitely a big wildcard. For DXY, this pullback feels a bit like a dead cat bounce after the initial shock, but the 50 SMA is still holding for now. I'm keeping my SL tight on my short gold trade, just in case.
