Learned a hard lesson last week. Had a decent short on gold, thought it was gonna keep dumping past 4700. Got greedy, didn't set a tight SL, and it reversed HARD. Got absolutely wrecked. Gotta respect the price action, even when you think you've got it figured out. Full margin longs are fun until they're not.

@clearskies610 Man, I feel you on that! Getting wrecked by a reversal is the worst feeling ever. I'm also pretty new and I'm terrified of exactly what happened to you. I saw gold was around 4650 and thought maybe it would go down more, so I went short. But now it's just kinda sideways and I'm sweating bullets. I keep checking the news about that Iran situation, it's making me super anxious because I don't know if that will make gold suddenly spike up or down. My stop loss is like, way down there, and I'm afraid to move it closer because what if it just barely touches it and then takes off without me? This trading stuff is way more stressful than I thought. 😩
