This NFP data really threw a spanner in the works for EURUSD, didn't it? I'm honestly a bit worried about what Monday morning will bring. Gerhard mentioned the gap risk and I can totally see that happening. That 1.15 support looks pretty shaky after the dollar got that boost. I'm not sure if it'll hold, feels like we could be heading lower.

And what about the impact of the US jobs data? It was way stronger than expected. I mean, that has to mean the Fed is going to keep rates higher for longer, right? That's usually a big positive for the dollar across the board. If the Fed stays hawkish and other central banks are thinking about easing, that just widens the interest rate differential. That alone should put more pressure on EURUSD. It’s kind of concerning because I was hoping for a bit of a recovery there. Now it just feels like we’re set for more downside pressure early next week, especially if that 1.15 level breaks decisively. It's like all my hopes were just crushed by that jobs report.

But then again, when I look back at how EURUSD was actually trading before that news hit, it wasn't exactly roaring. It was kind of struggling to get above 1.1600, just like @firestorm714 was saying about the thin volume. It felt like it was already losing steam. So maybe this NFP just confirmed what the charts were already hinting at, that the dollar was due for a bit of strength. It’s a tough call, I really don't want to be caught on the wrong side of a huge gap open. I'm thinking of just closing my smaller positions over the weekend to be safe, even if it means taking a small loss. Better than a massive one if things go south.
