Just watched a quick YouTube breakdown on the DXY. The guy was talking about how the current price action is sitting right at that 50-day SMA, which has been a bit of a magnet lately. He also mentioned that the RSI is hanging around 47, so not really screaming overbought or oversold. He reckoned we might see a bit of chop here until the Fed announcement.

Hmm, actually, he did say that if it breaks below the 99.38 pivot point with some volume, it could be a liquidity grab for shorts. He's been trading this pair for ages and always looks for those FVG areas. Makes sense, you gotta watch out for those traps, especially late at night when things get weird.

Hey @WilliamWilson, that YouTube guy sounds pretty smart about the DXY. I'm also a beginner and trying to get my head around these SMAs and pivots. Seeing it hover around the 50 SMA is definitely interesting, feels like it's deciding what to do. I also saw that 99.38 pivot point you mentioned, it's so close to the current price! If it breaks below that, does it mean it's a fakeout or a real move down? I'm always a bit scared of getting caught in those liquidity grabs, feels like the big players are just messing with us. Are you thinking of entering a short if it breaks that level?
