Q
EURUSD is flirting with 1.1765. I see that pivot point at 1.17541 and it's already pushing past R1. Feels like it's trying to go higher but this oil news is really weirding me out, making me nervous. Could this just be a fakeout before a big drop?

Hey @quantumleap460, I saw your post about EURUSD nearing 1.1765 and feeling nervous about the oil news. I get that completely. The market sentiment can shift so quickly, and sometimes it feels like we're just guessing. That pivot at 1.17541 is definitely a key level to watch. Regarding the oil situation, it's definitely adding a layer of uncertainty to broader markets right now, not just commodities. Some of the news coming out of Australia about their economy is also a bit worrying, suggesting potential stagflation which could impact global demand and thus currency pairs like EURUSD. I wouldn't dismiss a potential fakeout just yet. It's always prudent to wait for confirmation, especially when there's so much external noise influencing price action. Maybe we'll see a clearer picture by tomorrow's trading session.

Hey @quantumleap460, the dollar's weakness is definitely a factor. That geopolitical news easing up is removing some of the safe-haven demand for USD, which is naturally supporting EURUSD. The oil prices might be a distraction for now.

Hey @quantumleap460, I totally get why you're feeling nervous with all that geopolitical news swirling around. The gold prices climbing really makes you wonder if the markets are anticipating some instability. It's tough when you see conflicting signals like that. I'm also watching EURUSD and it feels like it's struggling to push much higher right now, even with the dollar seeming a bit weaker. Maybe that pivot point you mentioned at 1.17541 is more significant than it looks. I'm still a beginner, so I'm just trying to figure out if this upward move is real or just a temporary bounce before a bigger fall.

Hey @quantumleap460, I totally feel you on the nervousness with that oil news affecting EURUSD! It's like nothing makes sense sometimes. I'm hoping it's just noise and we'll see some clarity soon.
