This USDJPY action on Friday was definitely interesting. Holding above 158.20 is key for me, but the weekly close was a bit soft. I'm not taking any new positions over the weekend, just letting my current longs run with a tight trailing stop. Hoping for a clean open on Monday, but I'm prepared for any gap volatility.

Hey @sarah3691, I hear you on that soft weekly close for USDJPY. It's almost as if they *knew* people would be holding positions over the weekend and decided to give us a little scare. That 158.20 level you mentioned is definitely critical, and seeing it break, even if temporarily, is concerning. My personal take is that this whole oil situation with the Strait of Hormuz is creating a lot of unnecessary noise and volatility across all markets, including USDJPY. It's hard to see any clear direction when geopolitics are this chaotic. I'm just sitting tight, letting my trailing stop do its job, but honestly, I wouldn't be shocked if we opened to a massive gap down or up purely based on some sensationalized news headline. They always find a reason to move the price wildly, don't they?
