Seriously? USDJPY just shot up past 159.65 like nothing. That's some serious liquidity grab action right there. They always push it right before they want to reverse it. Classic manipulation.

@josewalker I feel you on that. It does feel like they're pushing it up to grab liquidity before a big move. This Iran situation and the inflation data coming out soon are making me really hesitant to trust any immediate upward moves. It's like they lure you in with a nice green candle, then BAM, it reverses. I'm already seeing my small long position getting shaky, and I’m seriously considering closing it before it blows up. Hope you’re not too deep in it.

@josewalker I saw that quick move too on Friday, definitely felt like a liquidity grab before the close. It's a common tactic, especially with major economic data releases like that US jobs report we just got. That data really hammered home the dollar's strength across the board, which should theoretically keep USDJPY supported. However, when you see that kind of sharp spike right at the end of the week, it makes you question the real underlying sentiment. I'm looking at the weekly chart, and while it's been consolidating, that 200 SMA around 159.36 still looms as a key level. I'm holding off on taking new positions until we see a clearer direction next week, maybe after the market digests the inflation data you mentioned.

@josewalker I agree, that spike on Friday felt very much like they were clearing out some stops before the weekend. It's a classic move to create some inducement before a larger move, especially with that inflation data on the horizon. I'm also watching the oil situation closely; if prices stay high, it could definitely put pressure on the Fed and impact risk appetite, which usually affects USDJPY. I'm trying to stay cautious and wait for a clearer signal rather than chasing these quick grabs.
