I was watching this YouTube channel last night, 'Forex Insights with Alex', and he was talking about how the DXY can sometimes get really choppy before major economic data releases. He said that sometimes it's best to just sit on the sidelines and wait for a clear direction instead of trying to guess. He mentioned that the current consolidation could be leading up to something big, so I'm definitely going to be extra careful today.

Good point @isabellaclark97. That choppy price action before major releases is classic. I’d rather wait for confirmation and a clean break than get caught in a false move. The DXY is consolidating just below R1, so seeing how it handles that level will be key.
