Watching the H4 chart for XAUUSD, the price action is consolidating around the 4790 area. Bollinger Bands are starting to narrow, suggesting a potential breakout soon. The 50 SMA is currently acting as resistance just above at 4815. If we can break above that, I'll be looking for a move towards the R1 pivot at 4793.64, but I'm cautious due to the overall bearish tone from the news.

Actually, the narrowing Bollinger Bands could also indicate a move lower if the 20 SMA at 4811.36 fails to hold. The RSI is still sitting in neutral territory, so no clear signal there yet. Let's see how the New York session opens.
