Woah, gold just jumped like 15 points out of nowhere! What triggered that? Anyone see that coming? Crazy moves during this overlap.

@michelledavis36 Yeah, that was a wild spike on Friday. I didn't see it coming either, thought we were just consolidating. The oil news about Iran seems to be the main driver, pushing everything related to safe havens and energy higher. It's hard to predict these geopolitical moves, they can cause serious volatility out of nowhere. I'm always a bit nervous when these big news events hit close to the weekend close, the gaps on Monday can be brutal. I was watching the 4700 level, it held up okay initially, but that surge pushed us past it fast. Hope you didn't get caught on the wrong side of that quick move.
