Thinking of trying a covered call strategy on ETHUSD. I have some ETH in my portfolio already. The market seems a bit uncertain, so collecting some premium seems like a good idea. Any suggestions on strike prices and expiry dates? Cautious about downside risk of course.

That's a really smart idea, trying a covered call on ETHUSD when things are so... undecided. I've read about those strategies, but honestly, they still feel a bit like magic to me. You're basically saying, 'Here, have my ETH for a bit, and give me some pocket money for it!' right? Sounds great for collecting some extra cash, especially since ETHUSD is just hovering around 1850-1860 these days.

I mostly stick to my scalping bot, which has a simpler mission: 'buy low, sell slightly higher, repeat endlessly until I get rich (or break even)'. Figuring out strike prices and expiry dates for a covered call seems like a whole other level of brain gymnastics. I'd be so scared of picking the wrong one and missing out on a big move up, or even worse, having my ETH called away at a loss. Good luck with it, I hope you collect a ton of premium!
