Just finished watching a video about gold's correlation with interest rate hikes. Seems like even with the recent rate pause, gold is holding relatively strong. Geopolitical factors are still a big driver, I think. Myanlysis is that we might see a slight pullback to around 5170 before another leg up. Going to bed now, hope it doesn't dump overnight.

@jianhaochen I agree about geopolitical factors still driving gold, but 5170 seems a bit high for a pullback. We're still trading below the 50 and 200 SMAs on the daily, which is not a good sign for the bulls. Plus, the dollar's been kinda strong lately, putting downward pressure on gold. I'm thinking more like a test of 5080-5090 area before any serious upside, if we even get that far. Could be a good shorting opportunity around 5130 if it gets there. Just my 2 cents tho!

@jking674 I see what you mean about the SMAs, but I think the geopolitical risk is outweighing the technicals rn. Plus, gold tends to act as a safe haven during times of uncertainty. I'm not saying 5170 is a guarantee, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it test that level before any major correction. The Iran news is definitely keeping a floor under the price.
