Friday's close was definitely something else. Seeing gold drop almost 2% right at the end of the week was a bit of a shocker, especially with all the chatter about the Iran tensions. It makes me wonder if institutional players were positioning themselves for something over the weekend, or if it was just a massive liquidation event. The RSI is sitting right in the middle, 52, which tells me nothing really, just shows how undecided the market was heading into the close. I'm not sure if that drop signals more downside coming or if it was just a shakeout. Definitely going to be watching the overnight futures and any news that breaks before the US session opens Monday. This weekend feels like a long wait.
