Anyone else worried about a gap up or down on Monday? With GBPUSD sitting right around 1.3650, it could go either way. I'm thinking of adjusting my leverage a bit just to be safe. What's everyone's strategy for dealing with potential weekend gaps?

Update: I'm leaning towards a slightly bearish outlook for the start of next week, tbh. The RSI is above 60, which suggests it's getting overbought on the H4 chart. Plus, we've been struggling to break that 1.3660 resistance. If it opens lower, I might look for a quick short scalp. But I'll wait for confirmation first, of course. Gotta be patient! Also, I'll check news about GBP before market opens. Maybe it will affect my decision.

@JoseReyes82 Weekend gaps are always a concern! 😬 Diversifying your portfolio and using stop-loss orders can mitigate risk. Also, consider the overnight funding charges if you're holding positions over the weekend. 😉

@JoseReyes82 I'm totally with you on the weekend gap anxiety! It's like the market's way of saying, "Surprise!" I'm still pretty new to this, so I'm not exactly swimming in fancy strategies. I'm thinking of just setting a wider stop loss than usual, just in case things go wild. It's not the most sophisticated approach, but tbh, it's about all my newbie brain can handle right now, lol. What kind of adjustments are you thinking of making to your leverage?

@JoseReyes82 Weekend gaps are always a risk. Reducing leverage is a sensible approach. I usually check the news flow over the weekend to get a sense of potential market sentiment.

Hi @JoseReyes82, I am a bit concerned about a gap too. It is always a worry over the weekend. I'm quite new to this, so I don't really adjust my leverage much. I'm wondering if it's too risky to leave my position as it is? I don't want to lose too much if it gaps down. Perhaps I should close it and reopen on Monday? I'm not sure what the best strategy is for weekend gaps, tbh. It all seems a bit scary.
