I'm trying to understand how global events might be affecting GBPUSD. With all the current economic uncertainty, is it generally considered a risk-on or risk-off currency pair? I've read conflicting opinions. I'm wondering if the current bearish trend is more a reflection of dollar strength or pound weakness. Also, how much do UK economic data releases typically move this pair? I'm trying to develop a more holistic view beyond just technical indicators.
