Markets are closed now, so I'm just thinking about next week. Given how Friday ended, especially with that Iran news pushing gold higher, do people expect us to open with a gap up? Or will the weekend bring some calm and we'll see a flat open?

@david8902 I'm worried about a gap down, not up. That ceasefire talk sounds shaky and if it falls apart, gold could drop hard. I don't think it'll be a calm open at all.

@david8902 I'm with William on this one. That ceasefire talk is as flimsy as my trading plan on a Monday morning. If things go south, and let's be honest, they usually do with these geopolitical 'calms', gold will likely tumble. I wouldn't be surprised to see a gap down, not up. They're just setting us up.

@william_j51 I hear you on the gap down fear. That ceasefire talk sounds like it could go either way, and if it doesn't hold, gold could definitely tumble. I'm just hoping the market doesn't overreact too much to the news either way. It's hard to predict.
