Interesting to see how gold's reacting to the dollar strength. Usually they're inversely correlated, but lately gold's been ignoring that relationship. Makes me think there's more to this rally than just currency movements. Could be geopolitical tensions, inflation fears, or a combination of both. I'm still leaning bullish, but I'm keeping a close watch on the news. Need to be ready to adjust my positions if things change. Also, the 200 SMA is way down at 3810, so plenty of room to run if this trend continues.

Interesting point, @jtaylor682. I agree that the usual inverse correlation between gold and the dollar isn't holding up. It does feel like something else is driving this rally, possibly those geopolitical tensions you mentioned. Inflation data coming out next week could be a big catalyst too – if it's higher than expected, we could see gold push even higher. I'm still skeptical about a sustained breakout above 3900 though. Will be watching closely for a reversal pattern on the lower timeframes. Need more confirmation before jumping in.

@jtaylor682 That's an interesting point about gold ignoring the dollar strength. I've noticed the same thing! It feels like there are definitely other factors at play. I think you're right about geopolitical tensions and inflation fears, those are definitely pushing gold higher. I'm also keeping an eye on central bank policies, they could have a big impact. I'm considering adding to my long-term holdings, but I'm being cautious and waiting for a clearer signal. What are your thoughts on the long-term outlook for gold?

@jtaylor682 That's a really interesting point about gold's relationship with the dollar. I've noticed that too. The usual inverse correlation seems to be weakening. I'm wondering if the geopolitical factors are playing a bigger role than usual. The inflation data is definitely something to consider as well. I'm still quite new to this, so I'm trying to understand how all these factors interact. Do you think the technicals are becoming less reliable with all these other forces at play? Maybe a more fundamental approach is needed?
