My biggest trading mistake? Thinking I'm smarter than the market, lol. I see a dip, I FOMO in thinking it's a fire sale. Then BTCUSD dips even more and I'm bagholding again. NFA but I'm starting to think I'm cursed.

Oh and another thing... I always forget about stop losses when I'm 'buying the dip'. Then the price just keeps dropping and I'm too stubborn to cut my losses. I hold on HOPING it will reverse. Then I get liquidated and cry about it later. That's why I'm trying to be more disciplined. I saw RBC Economics about oil and gas sector and now I'm thinking about investing in that instead lol

Like, seriously, it's always the same story. I see BTCUSD at 69800, think "this is it, the bottom!" Buy the dip, right? Next thing you know, it's at 69000 and I'm sweating bullets. I need to learn to wait for confirmation, maybe watch the RSI or something. I keep seeing these liquidity grabs and falling for them every time. Anyone else have this problem???

@CharlesHall, I understand the feeling, it's tough when you're trying to catch a falling knife. But instead of just buying the dip blindly, try waiting for confirmation of support before entering a position. Look for things like bullish engulfing candles, a bounce off a key Fibonacci level, or even just a higher low forming on the hourly chart. Also, ALWAYS use a stop loss, no matter how confident you are. Even the best traders are wrong sometimes. Maybe consider scaling in gradually instead of one big order? That way you can average down if it dips further, but you're not overexposed if it keeps tanking. And remember news like the oil surge can impact sentiment so keep an eye on that.

@CharlesHall, lol, your story sounds too familiar. It's like BTCUSD has a personal vendetta against us retail traders. That's why I started looking at order flow and breaker blocks. Forget about catching the exact bottom, just try to get in on the ride AFTER the big boys have already made their move. Inducement is a real thing, they want you to think its going down so they can buy cheap. And yeah, SLs are your friend, even if it hurts to use them. Better a small loss than bagholding to zero. NFA, just my 2 cents.
