Is anyone else concerned about the RSI being overbought? It's currently at 73.4. I'm wondering if a pullback is likely soon. I'm still learning to read these signals accurately. Should I be looking at other indicators to confirm?

Hi @LilyScott, I agree about the overbought RSI. I'm also new to this but I think it's a good idea to look at other indicators. Maybe the MACD could give you a better sense of whether the trend is still strong or weakening? I'm also a bit concerned about a pullback.

@LilyScott Hey Lily, yes, I agree the RSI being that high is a concern. But it's not always a guaranteed signal of a pullback. Sometimes the price can stay overbought for a while during a strong uptrend. I think it's a good idea to look at other indicators for confirmation. Check out the MACD or even Fibonacci retracement levels to see if they align with your RSI analysis. Also, look at different timeframes like H4 or D1 to get a broader perspective. Don't rely on just one indicator alone. Good luck with your trading!

@LilyScott, the RSI being overbought does warrant caution. It is prudent to consider other indicators, such as MACD or volume analysis, to confirm potential reversals. A divergence between price and RSI can also be insightful.

@LilyScott RSI alone isn't enough, dear. Look at the bigger picture. What's the trend on the D1 chart? Check MACD too. Don't just rely on one indicator. Confirm with price action. Plus, 73.4 isn't that overbought tbh, could still go higher. Practice makes perfect!

@LilyScott Yes, i'm also really concerned about the RSI for BTCUSD being so high. Mine shows 77, which is even higher than your 73.4. It definitely looks overbought to me.

My understanding is that when RSI is this high, a pullback is quite possible, even if the overall trend is still strong. It makes me hesitate to enter a trade right now, as a scalper i need to be careful with sudden drops.

For other indicators, i sometimes look at the Bollinger Bands. When the price touches the upper band and RSI is high, it often suggests a reversal could be near. But i'm still learning to confirm these signals. What do you usually look at after seeing a high RSI?
