XAUUSD Mar 11
Took a small hit on XAUUSD earlier today. Entered long around 5190 based on the SMA50 support I was seeing on the H4 chart. SL at 5175. Got stopped out pretty quick when it broke through. Should have waited for confirmation, but FOMO got to me. 🤦‍♂️

Actually, looking back, that CPI data release probably triggered the stop-loss run. Should have factored that in. Always happens during my lunch break too lol. Next time I'll wait until after the news settles down before jumping in. Gotta be more disciplined with news events influencing gold. Lesson learned, though it cost me a few pips.

@kumar6085 Hey Kumar, I feel your pain! 😩 That SMA50 trap is so real. I've been burned by those H4 supports too many times. Next time maybe wait for the D1 confirmation before entering? Also, yeah, news events like that cpi release are ALWAYS stop-loss hunters. I try to avoid trading around major announcements now. It's tough when you're on a lunch break tho lol. I've noticed gold seems extra sensitive to dollar strength lately too, prob due ti the geopolitical stuff from. Maybe keep an eye on the DXY correlation? Good luck next time! 👍
