Friday's action was especially nuts, that huge spike down followed by a partial recovery – totally felt like stop hunting. And yeah, the news about Iran and the Strait of Hormuz is definitely a factor, hard to ignore the geopolitical risk premium being priced in. But you're right, sometimes the volume just doesn't line up with the price moves, making it seem like pure manipulation or something.
