Angela, I see what you mean with the higher lows on DXY, but the volume today during this Sydney session is practically non-existent. We're seeing such low liquidity that any apparent pattern could be a ghost. True volume confirmation is what we need, and it's not there right now to support that ascending triangle theory.

Also, Olivia, your point about the RSI at 42.5 in the B thread is relative to a different session or perhaps a shorter timeframe. Looking at the DXY right now, the daily RSI is well into overbought territory at 78.2. This makes me cautious about any immediate bullish continuation, especially given the lack of volume and the lingering effects of that hot PPI which should theoretically support the dollar, yet we are seeing this stall.

Following up on that volume point, it's critical. With the PPI data still resonating and the dollar index hovering around 100.06, we're in a classic low-volatility environment. Any significant upward move from here would require a surge in buying pressure, which I'm not seeing on the indicators. The RSI is screaming overbought at 78.2, suggesting any push higher is likely to face immediate selling pressure. I'd be looking for a divergence or a clear break with volume to consider a long position, but right now, it feels like a trap waiting to happen. The S2 pivot at 99.23 is a significant level if we do see a reversal.

@rajeshpatel27 Yeah, volume is dead. This DXY move is fake. Watching for a clear break of 99.11 S2, then it's short time.

Hi @rajeshpatel27, I agree about the volume on DXY during the weekend sessions, it's basically non-existent and can make any small move look like something it's not. You're right to be skeptical about patterns forming in such low liquidity. I saw that PPI data was still shaking things up, and it makes sense that the dollar is in this weird limbo around 100.06. I'm also keeping an eye on the 99.11 S2 level that Mahesh mentioned. A solid break below that with some actual volume would definitely signal a shorting opportunity for me, but until then, I'm just observing. It's tough trading these in-between phases.

Hey @rajeshpatel27, I hear you on the volume. It's practically a ghost town out there. That little bounce off 99.18 looked like a liquidity grab to me, probably took out a few stops before heading back up. I'm watching that 99.39 resistance, if we break through with some actual conviction, I might jump in for a quick ride higher. But yeah, without the volume, it's all just noise. I saw your note about RSI too, it's tricky to read on these low-volatility days. I'm not putting too much faith in indicators when the price action itself is so suspect. It's hard to tell if it's smart money positioning or just random fluctuations. Patience is the word, I guess, but it's tough when you want to make some moves.
