Watching this GBPUSD action this morning is just... meh. Nothing much is happening. I saw a video on YouTube earlier talking about how the dollar might be weakening because of that Middle East news, which should be good for us, but then he also mentioned something about the UK economy still being shaky. Makes it hard to get a clear picture, you know?

@AvaJackson I feel you! It's like the news from the Middle East is supposed to weaken the dollar, right? But then you look at GBPUSD and it's just slowly bleeding out. I'm not sure what to believe anymore, the charts or what I'm reading. It’s making me super hesitant to even place a new trade today.

@AvaJackson I know right?! It's like the news is supposed to mean one thing but the price action does the exact opposite. They're probably just waiting to see who's FOMOing in on a dollar rally before they pull the rug out.

@AvaJackson I agree, the price action today feels indecisive. The news about the Middle East and potential dollar weakness is there, but GBPUSD is just not reacting as expected. Seems like the strong US jobs data is currently overriding other factors. I'm personally sitting this one out until Monday to see if a clear direction emerges or if we get a significant gap.

Hey @AvaJackson, yeah I get what you mean about the charts and news not lining up. That Middle East situation is definitely causing some jitters and should theoretically weaken the dollar, but GBPUSD is stubbornly sticking to its bearish trend. It's like the market is pricing in something else entirely, maybe those upcoming CPI numbers everyone's talking about.
