What are everyone's thoughts on the current volatility in XAUUSD? Is it too risky for a beginner like myself to be trading right now? I'm considering sitting on the sidelines until things calm down a bit.

@rmartin230 Hey Ryan, volatility is definitely up there right now. Honestly, for a beginner, sitting on the sidelines isn't a bad idea *at all*. XAUUSD can be a beast. Maybe paper trade for a bit? Get a feel for how it moves with news events and stuff. The Iran news is gonna keep things spicy for a while I reckon. I'd say focus on understanding risk management first before jumping in headfirst. There are plenty of less volatile pairs to learn on. Just my two cents, of course. Good luck whatever you decide!
