It's been a quiet weekend, good time to review last week's action. Gold's close on Friday around 4676 was a bit disappointing after the earlier strength, but frankly, given the choppiness, it's not entirely unexpected. The 50-day SMA still sits above current price, which is a concern for immediate upside. I'm looking at potential gap risk on Monday open, especially if any geopolitical news surfaces.

Hey @hunterbaker, yeah that close on Friday was a bit meh. Feels like they're just playing games, pushing it up then pulling back. The 50 SMA above price is definitely something to watch though, looks like resistance.

Hey @hunterbaker, I saw your comment about the 50-day SMA. I agree, it's a bit worrying when the price is below it. I'm still learning, but for next week, I'm thinking about watching that 4740 support level you mentioned, @GeorgeClark. If it breaks there, I'm not sure what happens. The news about the US dollar weakening due to Iran talks is interesting though. Gold might get a boost from that, but then again, the MAS policy meeting could cause some volatility. It's hard to tell what will have a bigger impact. I’m just hoping for a clear trend so I can make a decision without losing my shirt.
