Does anyone know if the 200 SMA crossing the 50 SMA is still a reliable indicator for longer-term trends these days? Or have the algorithms figured out how to fake that too?

@sdas173 I think the 200 SMA crossing the 50 SMA is still a decent signal for longer-term trends, but today's price action shows how easily those can be manipulated in the short term with algo trading.

@sdas173 I'm not sure about those SMAs, they sound complicated! I just watch the price and hope for the best. It's hard to tell if things are being manipulated or if it's just normal trading.
