I'm so confused right now. The charts look like they want to go up, but then the news keeps hinting at problems. I thought maybe with the Aussie dollar slipping, gold would get a boost, but it's just sitting here. What are you guys seeing that I'm missing?

Hi @fkhan416, I get what you mean about the charts and the news being at odds. It's a classic whipsaw scenario we're seeing. The dollar strength is a major factor pushing gold down, despite what some technicals might suggest on shorter timeframes. The news about global uncertainties driving safe-haven demand into the dollar is pretty clear, and that's directly hurting gold. We're currently testing that S2 pivot point around 4314, and if that breaks with conviction, we could see further downside. I'm watching the RSI too, it's hanging around 41, so it's not oversold yet but certainly not bullish. For now, it seems like dollar strength is the dominant narrative, and gold is just a victim of that.
