BTCUSD Feb 19
Is anyone looking at the Bollinger Bands on BTCUSD? The price is right around the middle band (SMA20). If it breaks above the upper band, that could be a good buy signal. But if it falls below the lower band... well, you know. Just food for thought. What do you guys thnk?

Your point about the Bollinger Bands is well-taken, @mustapha2273. The price fluctuating around the SMA20 does present a potential buying opportunity if it breaks above the upper band, but I concur that the risk of it falling below the lower band is significant. A confirmed breakout, ideally with increased volume, would lend more confidence to a long position. Conversely, a decisive break below the lower band, coupled with bearish candlestick patterns, could signal a shorting opportunity. It's crucial to wait for confirmation before committing to a trade, rather than anticipating the move. I'll be watching the band closely.

@mustapha2273, that's an interesting point about the Bollinger Bands. I'm also watching them on BTCUSD. If it goes below the lower band, would that mean it's a strong sell signal? I'm worried about a false breakout though. How do you confirm if it's a real breakout and not just a temporary dip? I've heard about using volume, but I'm not sure how to apply that to my analysis. Also, what time frame are you looking at?
