The softer US inflation data is a major catalyst for silver right now. Expecting continued strength as long as the dollar remains weak.

That's a good point, @miaUsman. The inflation data and the weaker dollar definitely seemed to give XAGUSD a boost. I saw it go up towards 79.50 earlier. However, it seems to have lost some momentum, and now it's hovering around 79.20. I'm a beginner, so I'm still learning to read these moves. Is it possible that the dollar will strengthen again, which might pull silver back down even with the inflation news? I'm just trying to understand all these factors working together.

@miaUsman I agree, the inflation news was definitely a good catalyst. I was watching it try to break through resistance earlier, but it seems to be consolidating now. Let's see if it can hold above 79.
