Alright, had to share this trade outcome on DXY. I was watching the 200-SMA around 99.19 and thought it might act as resistance today given the mixed signals and that Elizabeth Warren comment about 'reckless war' making me nervous about any US-centric strength. So, I entered a short position there, aiming for a drop back to the pivot point at 99.26, maybe even lower.
Well, it didn't quite work out. DXY pushed right through the 200-SMA and kept climbing towards 99.45. My stop-loss at 99.25 was hit pretty quickly. Lost about 0.7% on that one. Definitely a lesson learned about ignoring the immediate price action for perceived news resistance. Back to the drawing board.
